Opening Night Approaches

It's been a while since we have posted, but we've all been really busy with rehearsals.

Here's a little update on how the play is going. Rehersals have been going really well. The cast has been working really hard on their dances, songs, and their acting. We even heard the first recordings of some of the songs and they sound great!

We have some great news to announce. OPENING NIGHT will be April 30th at the Juab Fine Arts Center Auditorium in Nephi, Utah. The auditorium is located inside the county building.

We have a nice little update for you guys! Our amazing artists, Angela and Eva sent us some pictures of the first sets they finished. The sets pictured below will used for the scenes in the living room. We are so pleased with how they turned out that we thought we would share the good news with everyone and post it here for them to see.

They really did such a fantastic job so far and we are excited to see how the rest of them turn out.

Remember that the auditions are this weekend at the Lehi Arts Center Friday from 6-9 and Saturday from 12-5. If you're still thinking of coming and haven't signed up on the Erin's Promise website for an audition time, please remember to do so. See you this weekend!

We have some big news to announce.

We have finally nailed down a location and time for the auditions!

Auditions will be held on January 29th from 6-9 and again on January 30th from 12-5

Auditions will be held at the Lehi Arts Center, located at 685 North Center Street.
Here is a link to the google map in case you were looking for directions.

You are allowed to bring your own music (we will have a CD/tape player with Ipod hookups) and your own monologue pieces, but we will have the script there if you would like to read from that also.

You may register for the auditions ahead of time by going to erinspromise.com This website also contains more information about the play.

We are really trying to get the word out so this can be a success, so please, if you know anyone interested, let them know about the auditions, or have them e-mail us at higheststar52@gmail.com

Hey guys!

I just wanted to give you all a little update as to some changes we have made in the planning process.

1- If you noticed, the ticker at the bottom of the page has changed. The dates of the Auditions have been changed to give everyone some more time to relax after the holidays and prepare their audition pieces. The new dates are the night of January 22nd, and during the day of January 23rd. We will continue to update you guys as we pound out more of the details such as a location.

2- I have good news! After much hard work we have part of our sets done. We decied to do a storybook set and to make them ourselves. In order to make them easier to transport we designed them in halves, which can be joined together on stage. Last weekend we had a muslin wrapping party to finish the first half of the sets and delivered them to the artists.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. We had a good time making the sets. Hopefully they turn out great, right now they are in good hands.

We're gearing up for Open Auditions for Erin's Promise, The Musical on January 7th, 2010! We will be traveling all over Utah next summer for performances. It's going to be an amazing experience for cast and crew alike.

Hello everyone - welcome to Highest Star Productions blog! We are building a home for the best books, music and theatre. Right now we're working on our first major production, "Erin's Promise, the Musical". It's a lot of work putting a musical together and this one will have special challenges since we're planning to take it on the road around Utah next spring and summer.

We're a grass roots organization that plans to work outside the established theatre scene in Utah. While our production will be professional in every way, we're recruiting unknown but gifted individuals to work with us in all phases of the musical. Singing, dancing, acting, music, back stage, set desgn - we need it all! We'd love to hear from anyone who is into music and theatre or someone who just wants to enjoy the journey with us.
